Announcement from MAA – ” It’s hard to imagine any of the world’s great horse racing events without envisioning a crowd of gorgeously hatted ladies.  From the Kentucky Derby to Royal Ascot, a hat sets the scene, with fanciful trims and a furlong-wide brim…   Join Members of The Millinery Arts Alliance as we present  A Day at the Races, a Hat Tea on Friday, April 30,2010 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.  In the spectacular Lobby of The Peninsula Chicago. 

Celebrate Derby Day a little early with The Peninsula’s Mint Julep, created just for the occasion.  The milliners will be on hand throughout the afternoon with their collections of spectacular hats for all of your spring events.  Stop by just to browse the chapeaux, or enjoy tea service, which includes a petite soufflé, scones, finger sandwiches and delightful desserts served with your choice of marvelous tea for the cost of $38.  Or enjoy tea with a glass of Henriot Souverain Brut champagne.
