Vintage Hat of the Day

My collection of vintage hats is about 250 and this is one of my favorites.  From about 1910-1918 with a deep crown to fit over puffy hairstyles of the day.  Black beaver with detailed folded ribbon and beaded medallion.  Lined in cream colored fabric with a label reading “CB & Co -Our Mark- Made in the U.S.A.”  I got this one and a couple of others about 20 years ago from a lady in Washington DC who was downsizing her collection.  It is worn from time to time.  When wearing a vintage hat, avoid hair products and make up on the forehead area as they could stain.  Some collectors would not dream of wearing their vintage hats.  But I think the hats enjoy getting out of the hat box and seeing the light of day for a special event.  See more from my collection and share yours at
