As seen in the Pasadena Star-News, Barbara Troeller,
expert in antique millinery, is all smiles and surrounded by an explosion of colorful feathers. The Pasadena Museum of History presents the “Mad for Hats!” exhibit from their costume and textile collection through 6/12/11. Visit www.pasadenahistory.org to learn more including the Tour and Tea package. Ms. Troeller provided an evening of entertainment and discussion of feathers and the millinery business to a sold out crowd. Ostrich plumes were so valuable at the turn of the century that they were often bequeathed in wills and were secured in custom made boxes similar to jewel or glove cases. A talented milliner and dealer in fine vintage clothing and exquisite hats of the past, Ms. Troeller is available for fashion and costume history lectures and trunk shows. Stroll around her lovely shop here www.ruedelapaixhats.com
